This tomato basil pasta is hands down, one of my favorite pasta dishes to prepare and enjoy. This recipe calls for five basic ingredients and comes together in less than 30 minutes! The end result is a simple pasta dinner that’s bursting with heavy garlic flavor which isn’t overpowering but a rather lovely compliment of the slight sweet but acid tomatoes. Adding fresh basil during the cooking process adds that layer of herb flavor to the pasta sauce while a touch of fresh basil to the end just brightens everything beautifully.
Of course you can make this your own by adding other ingredients like chicken, shrimp or cheese to this recipe but it really doesn’t need it. This tomato basil pasta can stand tall on its own!
