Homemade Oven Baked Plantain Chips with Fresh Tomato Salsa

Oven Baked Plantain ChipsÂ
Ingredients:
- 2 large plantainsÂ
- 2 tablespoons of Cuisine Soyabean OilÂ
- 1 teaspoon of saltÂ
- ½ teaspoon of black pepperÂ
Optional chip seasoning suggestions: onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper.Â
Method:
- Preheat oven to 400FÂ
- Peel and thinly slice the plantains
- Toss in oil and saltÂ
- Evenly spread the sliced plantains onto a baking sheet prepared with wax paperÂ
- Place in oven for 10 minutesÂ
Fresh Tomato SalsaÂ
Ingredients:
- Â 6 tomatoes, dicedÂ
- ½ bell pepper/ jalenpeño, dicedÂ
- 1 small onion, dicedÂ
- 2 shadon leaves, choppedÂ
- 1 chili pepper, minced or 1 tsp of pepper sauce Â
- 1 tablespoon of lime/lemon juiceÂ
- 1 teaspoon of saltÂ
Method:
- Toss all ingredients togetherÂ
- Serve with chipsÂ
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigeratorÂ
