Tuna Wraps

Flour Tortillas Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp vegetable shortening
- 1 tsp salt
Directions
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
- Add vegetable shortening and hot water then combine until a dough is formed.
- Transfer dough on to a floured surface then knead until it becomes a smooth dough.
- Allow to rest for 20 minutes before shaping into golf sized dough balls.
- Place dough balls on a floured surface then roll them out until approximately 8-10 inches in diameter.
- Place into a hot frying pan or tawah, cook on one side until bubbles start to form (approximately 45 seconds).
- Carefully flip the wrap and allow to cook for approximately 45 seconds.
- Place finished wraps in a cloth or in foil and allow to steam.
Tuna Salad Ingredients
- 2 tins tuna chunks (drained)
- 1/2 cup black olives (chopped)
- 1 bundle celery (finely chopped)
- 1 purple onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 2 cups grated carrot
- 1 cucumber (diced)
- 1 bundle watercress
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- salt & black pepper (to taste)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients with the exception of the watercress in a bowl.
- Fill wraps with tuna salad then top with watercress.
- Wrap tightly then stick with toothpicks and cut in half to serve.
