These Sloppy Joes are a great way to enjoy the seasoned beef patties from the beef butcher box available at Massy Stores. The patties are already well seasoned so you’re already off to a great start. Combine that with some fresh aromatics and a not-so-secret sauce and you are well on your way to the most delicious homemade Sloppy Joes.

Sloppy Joes

Ingredients
- 3 Seasoned Beef Burger Patties
- 1 large onion finely chopped
- 5 garlic cloves minced
- 1 sweet pepper diced
- 3/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbsp roucou
- 4 tbsp honey (or sugar)
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2 tsp roasted geera
- 1 tsp clove powder
- 2 tbsp oil
- salt to taste
- 1 cup water

Method
- Combine tomato paste, Worcestershire Sauce, roucou, honey, cayenne pepper, paprika, roasted geera and clove powder in a bowl then set aside
- Add oil to a hot pan then add burger patties and begin to cook
- Cook patties for 2 minutes on each side on high heat
- Reduce heat to medium then use a wooden spoon to break apart patties into small pieces, cook for another 4 minutes
- Add onions then sauté for one minute
- Add garlic and sweet peppers then sauté for one minute
- Add sauce and water then continue to simmer on medium heat for 8 minutes
- Season with salt to taste
- Serve on burger buns
