Pan Seared Chicken with Knorr Chicken Flavor Fried Rice
This is another quick and easy lunch or dinner recipe by Baidawi using the Knorr Chicken Flavor Fried Rice served up with succulent chicken breast rubbed in a homemade citrus, garlic and herb butter then pan seared and finished in the oven.
Ingredients:
2 tbsp lemon zest
4 sprigs of thyme finely chopped
5 cloves of garlic minced
1 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp butter
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
salt and black pepper (to taste)
1 ¾ cups water
1 tbsp oil
1 packet Knorr Chicken Flavor Fried Rice
Method:
Grind lemon zest, garlic and thyme in a mortar and pestle until it becomes paste-like
Combine paste with butter, paprika, salt and black pepper
Rub chicken breasts with butter
Bring water and oil to a boil in a pot then add the contents of the Knorr Chicken Flavor Fried Rice packet
Reduce heat and simmer for 7 minutes
In a hot skillet or frying pan sear chicken breasts for one and a half minutes on each side
Finish cooking in an oven preheated at 400 degrees for 8 minutes
Allow chicken breasts to rest for 2 to 5 minutes before cutting
