This is a twist on traditional hummus using green peas as a substitute for chick peas. A quick and easy recipe that’s the perfect dip for chips

Green Pea Hummus

Make your own green peas hummus with just a few ingredients. A fresh and tasty alternative to a traditional hummus recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pk 400g Frozen Green Peas
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • ⅓ cup of olive oil
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Boil frozen peas for 8 minutes in 3 cups of water
  • Rinse in cold water until room temperature then strain.
  • Add garlic cloves to a mortar and pestle with a pinch of salt and pound until pureed
  • Add peas, garlic puree, lime juice and olive oil to a food processor and blend until smooth
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste
  • Enjoy
