Cheese Muffins
Short on time and lunch kit ideas? Â In this episode, Emily shares this lunch kit recipe hack with these simple muffins. Not only is this a kids’ favourite because it’s packed with cheese, but it is also infinitely customizable! These cheese muffins are quick, freezer- friendly and downright delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cup Cuisine All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup Cuisine Full Cream Milk
- ¼ cup Cuisine Soyabean Oil
- 3 cups of grated cheese
- 1 oz of cold grated unsalted butter
Method:
- Preheat oven to 375ºF.
- In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
- Toss the cold grated butter into the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, combine all wet ingredients.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix just until combined.
- Fold in the cheese.
- Scoop batter into a lined muffin pan, filling ¾ way to the top.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Serve warm.
Garnish: Cuisine Demerara Genuine Brown Sugar
