This  is a great date night recipe to make for a loved one. Just following a few key steps, you can achieve a perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious salmon filet with an amazing citrus glaze that incorporates Angostura Orange Bitters.

Ensuring the salmon filets are at room temperature before cooking is key for achieving optimal results.

This is a great date night recipe. Following a few key steps, you can achieve a perfectly cooked, amazing salmon!

Ingredients

  • 2 6 oz Salmon filets
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 sprigs fine thyme
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lemon pepper
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 4-5 dashes Angostura Orange Bitters
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Thaw salmon to room temperature then pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Combine lemon pepper, chili powder, salt and oil in a bowl.
  • Apply wet rub to salmon filets.
  • Heat up a frying pan on medium heat.
  • Add salmon filets then cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side.
  • Remove salmon filets from frying pan and set aside.
  • Add garlic, butter and thyme to frying pan then sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add orange juice and Angostura Orange Bitters to pan then cook for 3 to 5 minutes until mixtures starts to reduce.
  • Add salmon filets to pan then cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Serve & Enjoy!
