We all know Gin & Tonic but have you had Ginger & Tonic? This Ginger & Tonic Mocktail features a Ginger Citrus Simple Syrup that is as versatile as it is delicious. Enjoy a delicious blend of ginger, clove and Angostura Orange Bitters that will be sure to add a festive touch to your holiday beverages!
Ginger & Tonic Mocktail
Ingredients
- 4″ piece of ginger
- 12 grains whole clove
- 10-15 dashes Angostura Orange Bitters
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 bottle tonic water
- ice for serving
Method
- Slice ginger then grind in a mortar and pestle
- Add ginger, clove, sugar, water and Angostura Orange Bitters to a pot.
- Bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until thickened.
- Transfer to a jar or container with a lid then allow to steep and cool to room temperature.
- Add 1 and a half ounces of Ginger Citrus Simple Syrup to a glass with ice.
- Top with tonic water.
- Serve & Enjoy!
