These Homemade Pita Chips are so easy to make and so versatile you may never buy pita chips again. This recipe is customizable with an infinite number of flavor combos and perfect for entertaining.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fine thyme
- 2 tbsp rosemary finely chopped
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients
- Add olive oil and mix until all the flour is coated with the oil.
- Add water and mix until fully combined
- Knead until it forms a smooth dough then let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Divide dough into equal parts
- Roll it out as thin as possible.
- Place on a baking tray then cut into desired shapes
- Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes
- Allow chips to cool before placing them in a basket or container so that they maintain their crispiness
- Enjoy with your favorite dip
