This is a twist on traditional hummus using green peas as a substitute for chick peas. A quick and easy recipe that’s the perfect dip for chips
Ingredients
- 1 pk 400g Frozen Green Peas
- 6 cloves of garlic
- ⅓ cup of olive oil
- 1 tsp lime juice
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil frozen peas for 8 minutes in 3 cups of water
- Rinse in cold water until room temperature then strain.
- Add garlic cloves to a mortar and pestle with a pinch of salt and pound until pureed
- Add peas, garlic puree, lime juice and olive oil to a food processor and blend until smooth
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste
