Zaak passes through to whip up some comfort food, crispy Fried Chicken with Mac & Cheese using Knorr Alfredo Sauce Mix. This is a great dish to create if you’re new to cooking and the results are satisfying. That crispy fried yet succulent chicken with creamy, cheesy pasta is a definite winner.
Fried Chicken with Creamy Mac & Cheese
Spice Blend For Fried Chicken Fingers
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp garlic powder
- 4 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp ginger powder
- 4 tbsp dried thyme
- 4 tbsp paprika
- 2 tbsp cayenne pepper
Fried Chicken Ingredients:
- 3 chicken breasts cut into “fingers”
- spice blend
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup corn meal
- 1 cup vegetable oil
Method:
- Add oil to a shallow frying pan and bring up to temperature
- Toss chicken in half of the spice blend mixture and egg
- Add remaining to spice blend to flour and cornmeal then combine well
- Dredge chicken in dry mixture
- Fry until golden brown
Creamy Mac & Cheese Ingredients:
- 2 packs Knorr Alfredo Mix
- 300g elbow macaroni
- 1 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 cups cheddar cheese grated
- 6 cups of water
Method:
- Bring water to a rolling boil
- Add pasta then boil for 8 to 10 minutes
- Drain pasta
- To a pot add milk and butter
- Allow butter to melt then add 2 packs of Knorr Alfredo Mix
- Simmer on medium to low heat until mixture thickens
- Add pasta and cheese
- Toss and continue to simmer until cheese is melted
- Serve with fried chicken
- Enjoy
