Cheeseburger

Chef Damien does a classic easy homemade Cheeseburger using a patty seasoned with the Cuisine Succulent Burger Spice Mix along with a simple but delicious apple slaw. Special thanks to Cuisine for sponsoring this recipe. Cuisine products can be found at Massy Stores nationwide.


Cheeseburger Patty Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs minced beef
  • 1/4 cup Cuisine Succulent Burger Mix
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Additional salt & black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Cuisine Soyabean Oil

Method:

  1. Add all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine well
  2. Measure the size of your bread then form patties to desired scale
  3. Cover and place in the refrigerator until ready to cook

Asian Glaze Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • salt & black pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Add ingredients to a sauce pan and stir well to combine
  2. Simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes

Apple Slaw Ingredients:

  • 1 granny smith apple cut into thin strips
  • 2 cups grated cabbage
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • salt & black pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Add ingredients to a large bowl then toss to combine well
  2. Cover and place in refrigerator until ready to assemble cheeseburger

Cheeseburger Cooking & Assembly:

  1. Add oil to a pan on medium to high heat
  2. Place patty in pan then press with a spatula to flatten it to desired size
  3. Allow to cook on one side for 3 minutes then flip
  4. Apply glaze to the patty then place a slice of Colby cheese on top
  5. Add 2 tbsp of water to the frying pan then immediately cover to melt the cheese on the patty
  6. Cook for 2 minutes
  7. Place lettuce then apple slaw on your bun
  8. Place the patty then top with onions
  9. Enjoy
