Ham & Baked Beans Melt

January 7, 2019 by baidawi Leave a Comment

Getting back to this leftover ham that I got from Renaldo, we’re going to get into a quick and easy open face sandwich that’s perfect for lunch or dinner, a baked beans and leftover ham melt.

For this recipe we will need:

  • 1 Can of Baked Beans
  • 1 Cup of Chopped Ham
  • 1 Medium sized Onion (diced)
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic (minced)
  • 2 Tbsp of Tomato Paste
  • 2 Tsp of Paprika
  • 2 Cups Grated Cheese
  • 1 Foot long Sub loaf

Method

  1. Into a pan we go with the ham, as the ham starts to caramelize and crisp up in the pan…
  2. Add one medium sized onion chopped, saute for 1 minute
  3. Add, garlic, paprika, tomato paste, baked beans and mix thoroughly
  4. Cover and let it simmer for 5 minutes on medium heat.
  5. Cut bread into four piece
  6. Top with baked beans and grated cheese
  7. Place in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 8 minutes or until cheese has melted
  8. Enjoy!

You can omit the bread and cheese and have these baked beans with rice or mashed potatoes or you can add it to pasta with the grated cheese and have a leftover ham and baked beans Mac & Cheese!
