Trini Pepper Nuts

Learn to make Trini Pepper Nuts: a spicy, crunchy snack that is fantastic for a house lime or gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of Cuisine White Roasted Peanuts
  • 2 tbsp Cuisine Soybean Oil
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 small scotch bonnet pepper minced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 3 tsp of chopped fresh shadow beni
  • Sea salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan or cast iron pot on medium flame, heat the Cuisine Soybean oil
  • Add garlic and scotch bonnet pepper and gentle sautée.
  • Add paprika and Cuisine White Roasted Peanuts.
  • Allow the peanuts to toast in the oil.
  • Add fresh shadow beni and season with salt
  • Allow Pepper Nuts to cool and store in airtight container.
