Beef Lo Mein w Knorr Teriyaki Noodles
In these times it seems like everybody is too busy and not able to take the time to cook full meals in the kitchen on a regular basis. In this episode Baidawi teams up with Knorr and using their Asian Sides, Teriyaki Noodles as a secret weapon to cut down the amount of time taken to do his spin on a beef lo mein without sacrificing on flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1 packet Knorr Teriyaki Noodles
- 2 lbs beef
- 2 medium sized onions, sliced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 thumb sized piece of ginger, minced
- 1 sweet peppers, diced
- 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp baking soda
- 1 /3/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
- Salt & black pepper to taste
Method:
- Slice beef thinly then toss with baking soda and set aside for 10 to 15 minutes
- Rinse beef, drain water then pat dry with paper towels or allow to air dry
- Add water and vegetable oil (or butter) to a pot and bring to a boil
- Add Knorr Teriyaki Noodles and simmer for 7 minutes
- Add sesame oil to a wok on high heat
- Add beef and saute for 45 seconds
- Season beef with a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste
- Add garlic and ginger then saute for 45 seconds
- Add onion, soy sauce and hoisin sauce and saute for 5 minutes
- Add sweet pepper and saute for 30 seconds
- Turn off heat and garnish with sesame seeds
- Serve hot with Knorr Teriyaki Noodles
