Cheese Muffins

Short on time and lunch kit ideas?  In this episode, Emily shares this lunch kit recipe hack with these simple muffins. Not only is this a kids’ favourite because it’s packed with cheese, but it is also infinitely customizable! These cheese muffins are quick, freezer- friendly and downright delicious!



Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup Cuisine All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup Cuisine Full Cream Milk
  • ¼ cup Cuisine Soyabean Oil
  • 3 cups of grated cheese
  • 1 oz of cold grated unsalted butter

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
  3. Toss the cold grated butter into the dry ingredients.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine all wet ingredients.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix just until combined.
  6. Fold in the cheese.
  7. Scoop batter into a lined muffin pan, filling ¾ way to the top.
  8. Sprinkle with brown sugar
  9. Bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Serve warm.

Garnish: Cuisine Demerara Genuine Brown Sugar
