Christmas Treats at Viaaa
Viaaa in Toruba Plaza, Marabella as well as their Princes Town branch are carrying some specialty items for the Christmas season and we paid them a visit to check out the offerings. Chef Anslem Allette, the mastermind behind some of the delectable desserts described what he was going for with the pastries and cakes, “We tried to capture most of the Christmas flavors like Ponche De Creme, cinnamon and sorrel” he added, “we brought back the old fashioned sponge cake with cinnamon, nutmeg and those traditional trini Christmas flavors”. In addition to the flavors highlighted, Christmas themes like the Yule Log and Gingerbread House are also featured cakes for the holiday season.
