Homemade Bread

INGREDIENTS

Main Dough

  • 6 Cups Cuisine Flour
  • 1 tbsp White Sugar
  • 1 Packet Yeast
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 Cups Water

Cinnamon Sugar mixture

  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • ½ C Raisins

METHOD

  • Grease 2 loaf pans.
  • In a bowl add the flour, sugar, yeast, salt and baking powder. Combine well and add butter.
  • Incorporate the butter into the dough .Note: (see video for this method )
  • Add at least half of the water and knead the dough. Note: ( see video for this method )
  • Flour a surface and knead to smoothen out the dough for about 3 minutes until soft.
  • Place the dough into a bowl and allow the dough to proof (rise) for 30 minutes.
  • Pouch down the dough and knead the dough on a floured surface for another 2 minutes.
  •  Divide the dough into two equal amounts.
  • Take one of the dough’s and form a loaf by doing the “roll and tuck method” Note: ( see video for this method)
  • Place into greased pan.
  • Take the next dough and stretch by making a rectangle shape. Note: ( see video for this method)
  • Mix cinnamon and brown sugar.
  • Apply softened butter to the dough making sure the entire surface has been touched.
  • Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar and raisins on top.
  • Gentle press down the cinnamon sugar and raisin into the dough
  • Repeat the “roll and tuck method”. Flattened the end of the bread for the last roll and press in the ends. Place into pan.
  • Allow the dough’s to rest for another 30 minutes.
  • Place into the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve hot and enjoy
